Capitalizing on the $4.3 billion of available funds, construction will start in the central valley with the building of new stations, bridges, and viaducts. Employing the likes of Bakersfield general contractors and Fresno general contractors, the project is expected to kick off in 2017.

When completed, the entire rail system will be 800 miles in length.
