$800M to be Invested in Detroit, MI Medical Facilities

March 23, 2010 – Over the next five years, Vanguard Health Systems is planning to invest $800 million in the construction and renovations of Detroit, Michigan’s medical facilities. Vanguard has stated that they intend to use primarily locally acquired material and local builders like Detroit contractors and Grosse Pointe contractors.

Some of the possible projects include new patient units at Detroit Receiving and a new Children’s Hospital tower.
