Hayward Contractors Move Forward on Ashland Youth Center

October 6, 2009 – A 30,000 square-foot, $14 million youth center is on track to be built in Ashland, California. Utilizing stimulus grants for funding, the two-story complex will be constructed on the former site of Holland Oil on 14th Street.  Hayward contractors are very excited about the opportunity to bid on this large, community enhancement project.

The Ashland Youth Center, which will likely be named the Jack Holland Sr. Park, may begin construction as soon as January, with hopes that the two acre development will be concluded in 2012.  The Center will include a skate park, gym, soccer field, and track.  Ashland contractors as well as San Leandro contractors will also be competing for subcontracting spots on the project.
